Fictional worlds. Real psychology. Stories worth exploring.
Fiction gives us a place to explore very real parts of being human. Therapy After Midnight is where I look at fictional characters, relationships, families, and the worlds around them through the lens of psychology.
Sometimes that means talking about trauma, grief, attachment, identity, personality, relationships, addiction, or mental health diagnoses. Other times, the more interesting question is whether a diagnosis is even an appropriate way to understand what we are seeing.
These characters are not real clients, and these articles are not clinical assessments. They are fictional stories that give us a place to explore real psychology, including the parts that are complicated, uncomfortable, or difficult to explain.
