Starting Therapy: What to Expect

Starting Therapy: What to expect featured image. Image depicts a light yellow room with complimentary colored splotches on the walls. A window looks out onto a blue sky with a single, fluffy cloud floating in it. There's two chairs, one tan, one green. There's a table between them with a plant and a tissue box on it.

If you’re here, you’re probably ready for something to feel different.

Maybe you’ve been carrying too much for too long, or maybe you’re just tired of trying to figure it all out on your own.

Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to keep doing it alone. And I’m truly glad you’re here.

Therapy gives you a place to slow down and be honest. To talk about what’s heavy, what’s confusing, and what you actually want for yourself. It’s not about perfectionism or quick fixes that work for a week.

Let’s find steadier ground to stand tall on.

What to Expect

If you decide to book, our first session is simple. We’ll talk about:

  • What brought you here
  • What’s been hard
  • What you hope to get out of therapy

There’s no script and no pressure. You don’t have to have the right words, just a willingness to show up as you are.

As we keep meeting, therapy becomes your space. A place to make sense of things, build self-trust, and practice being gentler with yourself.

Do you know what they say is the hardest part about therapy?

Showing up!

How It Can Help

Over time, people often notice they’re more aware of their emotions, more confident setting boundaries, and a little less weighed down by the pressure to have it all together.

Whenever You’re Ready

You can book a session with me right here. If you’re not ready yet, that’s okay too. Feel free to stay, read, and get a feel for my approach.
